Bag Shopping in the Men's Section

Are you very particular when buying bags like me? I take a lot of things in consideration when I buyone. It has to be roomy, the material and straps should be sturdy enough to hold my net book safely and the design should also go with most of the clothes that I wear. My sister makes fun of me nga for buying a bag for work once a year so it really must be durable, hahaha!

So one night after work, my sister and I tried to buy a bag from the Men's section of SM Department store and boy are we in for a surprise! :)

Flat Shoe Haul! :D

People normally have heeled and architectural shoes on haul, unfortunately I don't have the feet nor the posture to wear those kind of shoes, so as usual here's my haul for this month :)

Shoe shopping for the rainy days

I've been wanting to find a replacement for my trusty rubber flat shoes for the rainy days, and because I was fond of wearing gladiator flats that were both comfy and sexy, I went on and searched for my new rainy day footwear that were still stylish and is well within my budget.

Of course I have seen these styles before but with a much higher price *almost 2,000 pesos! good thing department stores offer stylish designs that are easy on the budget.

I am loving Jessica's new collection, with laser cut detail in pastel  colors, T- strap sandals in neon and metallic and cap toe flats that would still look great with every outfit with prices NOT MORE THAN 300 PESOS! See more of my picks after the break.

How to Plan a 150K Wedding

Nope it's not mine, I just helped my friend Marion of Bella Blue plan her wedding last December. And that's right, she just spent a mere 150,000 Pesos for a beautiful Modern- Vintage DIY Intimate wedding. Here's a short interview on how she did it. Complete with her wedding suppliers and some beautiful photos on how her wedding went.

Marion: My cousin Suzette, who is a designer and I had talked years ago. We were talking about weddings. I thought we had the same ideals back then, that spending big money for a "one day" celebration was not practical at all. She also reminded me that if ever I have to splurge, it's not with the dresses nor the venue, instead spend money in PHOTOGRAPHY (something for us newlyweds) and the FOOD (to satisfy our guests). Since then, that thought never left my mind. 

Mark and I had been on for 9 years. Our engagement happened last April, 2011. Plans about the wedding were arranged. I knew at that time that I wanted it to be intimate (with just us with our closest friends and our immediate family members). Lucky groom! Hours of talking and convincing were made to our families, especially to my parents, not letting them think "na tinitipid ang anak nila", but rather that it was my idea.

Though there were a lot of changes from our original plans, like the place and date,  we are certain on one thing - that we will pay for this wedding from our own pockets (from budget to preparation ) , and so we decided to have a very simple and intimate church wedding. 

Cheap Thrill: Tapsilog sa Dahon

My sister Audie has been raving about this Tapsihan that they ate at a couple of weeks ago, I was so intrigued specially by looking at the photos of what they ate, how yummy it looked and how pretty the presentation was :) Who knew that a humble store like theirs can offer Crepes! :) 

I then researched and found that they have a Facebook account. Excited as I was, I asked the boyfriend to accompany me and do a little food trip and find Tapsilog sa Dahon.

My latest landmark bazaar haul

Went to landmark with the bf and her sis yesterday evening to buy something to wear to a baptism the next day. I saw the perfect dress almost instantly and then did some more shopping at Landmark's bazaar section. Here's what I bought:

Green polka dot and lace polo (perfect for the New Year), Peter pan collared top, black and rust jeggings :)  

Landmark has always been my go- to place for affordable chic clothes.

I also didn't include the dress that I'll be wearing tomorrow because i'm already laundrying it. hehe.. The best part is, I only spent merely 2,000 pesos for everything :)

Shoe (Window) Shopping at Parisian

My lil sis and I met up after work at SM Makati. I actually went there a couple of days ago with the boyfriend and told her about those pretty shoes at SM! so the next day gorabels na kami ni bunso (that's how I  call my lil sis, term of endearment lang din for my moody younger sister :P ).

Iv'e been thinking how I could accessorize the thrifted lace top that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Since 70's/ boho fashion is so popular nowadays, I think that it would be the best accessory that could toughen up a sexy black lace top.

Don't you just love how lace looks like? :) when I think of vintage, lace instantly pops in my mind.  While I'm out thrift shopping, I always imagine finding a beautiful lace dress  :)

Are heels for me?

Went to the mall today with my mom to find myself the perfect pair of nude pumps. I was anxious though, I rarely wear heels; the last time I wore some high heeled shoes was when we had our thesis defense in college, which was like four years ago! haha! and I dreaded it, after the defense, my feet were killing me softly, hahaha!

So now here I am, browsing a couple of fashion blogs, and were really amazed on how lovely the styles of shoes are..I think its time that I give my flats a break and try something new. I had my eye on the pumps right here; the heel is of a reasonable height and it also fits the budget; unfortunately they didn't have it in beige or nude, so moving on...

I've been eyeing the gray velvet one on top, but they didn't have my size. Sayang 700+ lang :P

Of course it didn't take long before I found some cute and comfortable flats, that I would normally wear. These shoes had a rubber sole which were perfect for our wet season. It was a little wide though for my feet. 

Another reason why I didn't wear heels is because I don't have pretty feet.. they're bony and my veins were sticking out because of the stress and trauma hospital duties gave me, hehe...imagine how they would look like  under more stress.

After a very hectic day, I went to Megamall yesterday :) and I was surprised to find some pieces that were similar and even exactly what my shop is selling for a LOT LESS.

Its never too late to plan :)

Planners are usually bought at the end or at the beginning of a year to serve its purpose..to plan the year ahead. I was supposed to get the witty planner because it was so funny, but I realized that a planner that was that pretty would barely have writings all over, hehe..so I scouted the web and in  bookstores in search for my perfect planner..reasonably priced, functional, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. And there I was, on the second floor of Landmark Makati, feeling giddy with the cute and cheap finds being sold there :) and then I found it..cute, pink and hardbound,with soft pencil illustrations,which was a steal at 89 pesos!

You can plot your plans weekly or monthly. The dates on the pages are also blank so you could start whatever month you want.

Good thing I found this planner, cause I need to plan my life.stat!

According to www.urbandictionary.com, an Old Soul is a spiritual person whom is wise beyond their years; people of strong emotional stability. Basically, someone whom has more understanding of the world around them. Some people even believe an old soul is a person whom has learned from past incarnations, or lives. They acquired certain knowledge from their past lives and apply it to their present life... thus gaining more wisdom than the average bloke. Nice... :)

Since I'm slowly rising up from the dead... "dead tired and lazy to dress up" days, hehe...I'm also buying stuff to build a more fashionable closet just like what I used to have. 

Yesterday I went to SM Makati to meet a buyer, on my way home I passed through Park Square and had the chance to do a little accessory shopping :) You'll see little stalls selling various clothes, shoes and even novelty items such as lighted tops, wire massagers and props for magic shows. What caught my attention was the various selection of accessories... and there I was..like a kid on a candy store.. :P~ But I was so in a hurry to go home because I was so tired and sleepy and browsed on a few stalls, picked on the accessory that I wanted and HAGGLED...haha! they gave me these necklaces each for 150 pesos and I asked for 120 pesos..well, we agreed halfway, so 130 pesos it is :) 

I'd like to buy more but my eyes were so heavy I just might shop without even thinking, so goodbye little trinkets, I'll have to get back to you soon!
