Flat Shoe Haul! :D

People normally have heeled and architectural shoes on haul, unfortunately I don't have the feet nor the posture to wear those kind of shoes, so as usual here's my haul for this month :)

Project: couple shoot :)

A couple of posts ago, I had a collaboration with my friend Karen Luzon for our latest collection; and for weeks now we’ve been planning another shoot to add to her portfolio, a couple shoot! J well, it would be presented as an engagement shoot but we’d like to call it a couple shoot since my boyfriend and I aren't engaged "yet" (imagine how our parents would think when they find out that we were going to have a prenup shoot without their knowledge! *well this actually happened, my mom asked me about this and we clearly told her it was a COUPLE SHOOT, haha!) .

we've had a lot of photos taken from our camera phone but we'd love to have  a styled shoot :)
We were supposed to do the shoot last weekend but typhoon “Ferdie” had good timing wrecking havoc in Metro Manila; so there we were a bit sad cause of the weather but thankful that it would buy us more time to prepare the clothes (more trips to the thrift shop!) and the backdrop and props that would make our shoot more interesting and a little less amateur (we’ll try our best J )

So near yet so far

My man in uniform
"Loving a military man is not hard. The distance is hard, the worry is hard, the sacrifices are hard. But loving him...that's the easiest thing I've ever done."

This weather's making me feel emotional :P let me tell you guys about our (cheesy) story and how it feels like to be a military S.O....

college days circa 2006
My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years, I've known him since college and we were inseparable ever since, or so I thought. After college both of us were having a hard time getting jobs as nurses; he then decided to join the Philippine Army. At first I didn't approve his decision, I was all worried that he might be stationed in a far province and I might not spend the time with him just like we used to and I was also starting to worry about his safety when he becomes a soldier. In the end, He made me realize that he was doing this for the both of us, a secure life for his family.

Stormy Dark Knight Date

Woke up on a very rainy Saturaday morning, I impulsively decided to reserve movie tickets for my boyfriend and I and watch the Dark Knight (well this was to surprise the boyf). I wasn't even sure we would see the movie because of the flood outside, but we still managed to drop by at Glorietta 4 and line up to get our tickets :) Here's what we wore:

Shoe shopping for the rainy days

I've been wanting to find a replacement for my trusty rubber flat shoes for the rainy days, and because I was fond of wearing gladiator flats that were both comfy and sexy, I went on and searched for my new rainy day footwear that were still stylish and is well within my budget.

Beautiful and Affordable Jelly/ rubber Footwear from Jessica at SM Makati
Of course I have seen these styles before but with a much higher price *almost 2,000 pesos! good thing department stores offer stylish designs that are easy on the budget.

I am loving Jessica's new collection, with laser cut detail in pastel  colors, T- strap sandals in neon and metallic and cap toe flats that would still look great with every outfit with prices NOT MORE THAN 300 PESOS! See more of my picks after the break.
