Are heels for me?

Went to the mall today with my mom to find myself the perfect pair of nude pumps. I was anxious though, I rarely wear heels; the last time I wore some high heeled shoes was when we had our thesis defense in college, which was like four years ago! haha! and I dreaded it, after the defense, my feet were killing me softly, hahaha!

So now here I am, browsing a couple of fashion blogs, and were really amazed on how lovely the styles of shoes are..I think its time that I give my flats a break and try something new. I had my eye on the pumps right here; the heel is of a reasonable height and it also fits the budget; unfortunately they didn't have it in beige or nude, so moving on...

I've been eyeing the gray velvet one on top, but they didn't have my size. Sayang 700+ lang :P

Of course it didn't take long before I found some cute and comfortable flats, that I would normally wear. These shoes had a rubber sole which were perfect for our wet season. It was a little wide though for my feet.

Another reason why I didn't wear heels is because I don't have pretty feet.. they're bony and my veins were sticking out because of the stress and trauma hospital duties gave me, hehe...imagine how they would look like  under more stress.

Laser resurfacing and some chicken baked macaroni :)

You might heard of Laser resurfacing or Fractional Lasers in Aesthetic procedures but do you really know what amazing things it can do to your skin? According to WikipediaPhotorejuvenation is a skin treatment that uses intense pulsed light or other thermal or chemical methods to treat some skin conditions and remove wrinkles arising from photoaging. The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, prompting it to heal itself by creating new cells. This process reverses the effects of photoaging to a certain extent by removing wrinkles.

Laser resurfacing is under the Mechanical type of photorejuvenation. It is indicated for people who has wrinkles, acne scars, and even stretch marks More commonly now, laser resurfacing is done with a fractional laser. The term fractional is the method in which the laser light is transferred. Tiny pinpoints of laser light are used to deliver the laser to the surface of the skin in only a fraction of the area. Several hundred or thousands of laser pinpoints may be used per square inch, leaving healthy skin in between the ablated areas, to allow more rapid healing and lower risk.

Vera, one of our own had a chance of experiencing our clinic's newest laser, the DEKA SmartXide laser which boasts to give patients for a less invasive procedure with the shortest amount of recovery time (about 3-5 days). Our girl Vera here opted to let our resident dermatologist treat her acne scars and wanted to resurface her cheeks and her forehead. The whole procedure takes an average of 30 mins depending on the area to be treated. Vera just washed her face first and placed EMLA (topical anesthetic) and the procedure is done as soon as the anesthesia takes effect. After the procedure, the area is cleaned with wet gauze and a topical antibiotic is applied.

making a model setcard

My photogenic approached me yesterday if I could help her with her model set card. A model set card is given to potential agents or companies that a model would want to model for. It should have the model's measurements, height, weight shoe and dress size and other important information (like your contact details) that would be pertinent for the agent. Photos should show the versatility of the model and should have both whole body and beauty shots; both with minimal make up and also can have avant garde make up. Photos should have high resolution to be appreciated; and then collated in a fashion that is clean and professional.

I'd like to share to you a little freebie for both models and photographers who wants to easily create a professional looking set card.

Here's the finished product.
